Summary:
Dance in the Schools, a small nonprofit LLC, is looking for part-time interns to help research grants and assist with marketing and ease communication between the educators. Apply to your area of choice:
Job Descriptions:
- Research funding opportunities, assist with grant writing and management
- Develop a One-Pager, hardcopy promotional material and assistant with website
- Assist tracking communications between the dance and academic educators
Program Description:
Dance in the Schools brings 10-22 Dance Teaching Artists into the Cambridge Public Elementary Schools, Special Start through 4th grade, to integrate movement and dance into the academic curriculum during the month of March. Students benefit physically, cognitively and interpersonally from the opportunity to learn via movement and dance in the classroom. Teachers begin collaborating months prior to the program. 2022 will be the 25th continuous year for the nonprofit program.
Commitment:
- Work virtually 2-6 hours per week from home office on personal computer
- Biweekly Zoom, or in-person meeting in public space with Managing Director, as needed
- Short Term or successful candidate could continue on in subsequent years
Applicant Qualifications:
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong research skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, effective at time management
- Problem-solver, and faces challenges with a positive attitude
- Cares about the arts, education and/or social impact
